Hello everyone, my name is Mike, I live in Saint Louis and I just joijned
the list. I'm currently a windows user, and am planning on purchasing a mac,
hopefully some time this week. I work in tech support for software that
works with windows, so hopefully my tech skills will come in handy for
learning the mac. Where I work, they have some macs, and I was able to play
with voice over using Tiger, and I know it's even better with Leopard. I
think it's great that the mac operating system has a screen reader built in,
and I wish windows would do the same. I don't think blind people should have
to pay hundreds of dollars to gain access to their computer. With the
limited extra time I had at work, I was able to navigate the menus, and
explore the system preferences section of the mac, this came to me really
easily, so hopefully I'm off to a good start. I look forward to learning
from others on this list.
