Hi Mike nice of you to join the list. Yes, the Mac is great and what
you learned as far as navigation goes is used across the Mac platform
so you don't have allot of key combos to learn. What type of Mac are
you looking at getting?

Hello everyone, my name is Mike, I live in Saint Louis and I just
joijned
the list. I'm currently a windows user, and am planning on
purchasing a mac,
hopefully some time this week. I work in tech support for software
that
works with windows, so hopefully my tech skills will come in handy for
learning the mac. Where I work, they have some macs, and I was able
to play
with voice over using Tiger, and I know it's even better with
Leopard. I
think it's great that the mac operating system has a screen reader
built in,
and I wish windows would do the same. I don't think blind people
should have
to pay hundreds of dollars to gain access to their computer. With the
limited extra time I had at work, I was able to navigate the menus,
and
explore the system preferences section of the mac, this came to me
really
easily, so hopefully I'm off to a good start. I look forward to
learning
from others on this list.
