I also want to say that you can now download Quake for iBook G4s running Leopard. I am still wrestling with it installing the shareware version--unless someone has antoher version they can share.

Here's what you need to do to run the installer once you have downloaded it from the dcownloads page:

sudo chmod +x AudioQuake-0.3.0.2_leopard-ppc.run.sh

Enter your password

Then type
./AudioQuake-0.3.0.2_leopard-ppc.run.sh

Follow all prompts.

Then type

cd ~/.zquake
./start.pl

If it worked, I guess the game will start, if it won't you'll be told something about re-running the installer to grab the shareware version of the game. If you've got a registered CD version, then I guess you're OK.

Subject: LDL Now Available for G4/G5 Macs running Leopard

This is a quick update to let you know that if you go to
http://www.agrip.org.uk/ldl/ you can now find LDL for Macs running
Leopard on G4 and G5 processors (as well as the Intel release already
available).

Thanks to the work of Adam Thompson on the AGRIP-discuss list, we hope
to have versions of Tiger soon!

Thanks again for your time and input,

best regards,
