The output is setto internal speakers which works fine, it's the microphone that is having the problem, and the input is set for the line in, which is the only choice.

Go to the preferences of Skype and to the toolbar. Look for the audio button and see if the output is set to headphone.

Hi all. I'm wondering if anyone might know what is happening here. I installed skype, and it works very well with voice over. The problem I am having is, people cannot hear me, though I can hear them just fine. I'm using a mac mini, so it doesn't have a built in microphone, so I connected a headset microphone. The microphone works fine on my PC. The volume for input is turned up all the way in system preferences, and speech recognition is disabled. In skype, there is only one option for selecting the input, the line in port. I know I'm connecting the right plug to the input. I was just wondering if I missed anything, I can't think of anything else to try, unless my input port actually has a problem.
