Apparently, I have to download special software or install from the
cd. I'll do the former and see if this fixes the problem. Sorry for

Thanks, that did help. I tried to install the disk on the XP machine
and it was inaccessible or at least, it seemed that way. When I
plugged the phone into the Mac and called myself with another phone,
only the speaker on the computer rang. The phone did nothing. I can
hear speech normally here, so I'm not sure if it's just not
recognising the phone or what. I tried both usb ports with the same
result.
