How do you like the look and feel of the phone so far?

Ok, I found the user manual at

Apparently, I have to download special software or install from the
cd. I'll do the former and see if this fixes the problem. Sorry for
all the messages, but figured this would help anyone who might have
the same problem in the future.

Thanks, that did help. I tried to install the disk on the XP machine
and it was inaccessible or at least, it seemed that way. When I
plugged the phone into the Mac and called myself with another phone,
only the speaker on the computer rang. The phone did nothing. I can
hear speech normally here, so I'm not sure if it's just not
recognising the phone or what. I tried both usb ports with the same
result.

I've never had any experience with these SkypePhones, but to answer
one of your questions, you can certainly log into Skype on more than
one machine at a time.
Hope that helps you in some way

Ok, I got my Yealink Fonaso W1DL Cordless Internet Phone from

But now I have a few questions. All the instructions in the manual
talk about Windows, but it said on the site that it works with Macs as well. The files on the disk are also for Windows. So does this mean that, with the Mac, it's plug and play? Also, I plugged it into the XP desktop to charge it but am noticing that now my speech is coming through the phone rather than the speaker. Is this supposed to happen or do I have to install the software? I'm confused. What about when I use the Mac? Am I allowed to log into Skype with two computers at
once so I can use my XP machine as my phone? If not, can I simply
unplug the phone from whichever computer it's plugged into when I need to use it and make calls as I did previously or is there a way to get
the speaker phone to work as an external speaker for speech?

Thanks,
Tiffanitsa
