I thought I'd pass along a combination of hardware and software that
I often use with VO that may be useful for you.
I have some nice USB game controllers that I have configured to fire
off VO shortcut keys. I realized that this may be useful for others
who don't like giving up their keypad or keyboard functionality.
For example, the joystick arrow buttons do the normal VO navigation
keys, other action buttons are configured to interact with objects
and stop interacting with objects, jump to menu, expand, etc.
I think the newer Mac gamepads come with software that you can
program key actions, but there is also a shareware program called
USB Overdrive that will do this for all controllers and mice.
At the very least, a $10 USB Logictech gamepad can be purchased
from Amazon and configured to hit your favorite VO shortcuts.
Just something I thought I'd pass along.
