Hi, Sean,
Sorry, my mistake, it's in the Advanced Tool, but in the General tab,
not Importing tab. The check box is called:
Copy files to the iTunes music folder when adding to library.

OK, I don't want it to be copied to my I Tunes library but I didn't
see that feature in advance/importing I only saw the CD option. Is
there something else I need to look for?

Hi, Sean,
I am not certain if you mean when you insert a CD, or when you
have any old track that's just a file on your hard drive.
If you mean when you insert a CD, it can be set in the iTunes
Preferences, Advanced tool, Importing tab.
If you mean how can I double click a file and have iTunes play it
without adding it to my library, you can't. Although, you can
prevent iTunes from copying it to your music folder in the same
import tab mentioned above..
If I have a track or file I want to play, but don't want it to go
into iTunes, I open it with QuickTIme Player.
Hope this helps a bit.

Listers if I didn't want tracks to be added to my I Tunes
Library, where would I find this setting? For example if I had
3000 songs and I just wanted to play them without I Tunes puting
them in its library. How would I set this up?
