Nah. They all pretty much use the same stuff with the same VOIP standards, except for Packet8 which uses something a little different. Of course, many of these providers (like Vonage, but not exclusively Vonage) lock their adapters to their service. Viatalk did not lock theirs down when I had them (I still have my Viatalk adapter and plan to do something with it and asterisk one of these days).
