Find and Replace question

I have a text file that has a lot of line breaks, or new line  
characters.  Because of that, the flow of reading is interrupted.  How  
do I find the charactersfor new-line and replace them with a space? I  
should say, what do I need to type into the find box that represents a  
new-line?
