Actually, this is probably as good an opportunity as any to ask this; I was trying to use VLC to listen to a .ra Real Audio stream and it presented me with an error dialogue as Safari downloaded the .ra file. The stream did start, but stopped at about the same time (about a minute in or so) each time I'd try it. David, have you had any success using VLC for Real Audio streams? Is this a familiar issue? Do you know of a fix?…

I've actually gone ahead and downloaded Real Player 11 which actually works quite well, and is a lot simpler then some prior versions, which is cool, but I really am curious what is happening with VLC?…

If you'd like the actual link, just lemme' know and I'll be happy to send it along! :)

Thanks so much and have a lovely evening!…

Smiles,

Cara :)

Well...I haven't either had that much problems with VLC.
The best reason for using VLC is the ammount of supported file- formats :)

HI all.

I've decided to ditch vlc. It's actually a load of crap and iTunes works much better. There's unfortunately too many features taht don't work in vlc and iTunes works a lot lot better.
Vlc needs more work.
Long live iTunes.
Vlc has too many options that don't seem to speak too well and the preferences layout in vlc is one of the weirdest preferences dialogs i've ever seen on the mac.
