Look in the view menu or the preferences to turn off timestamps, but
first make sure you are running the latest versions of Adium and
Growl. I believe Adium is 1.q4 and growl is 1.14. Then go through
and make sure you have Adium speaking the events you really want it
to. Sorry, I don't remember what that option is called, and I haven't
run Adium for a while.

I've read something about reading it through the chat transcripts
but I can't work out what this means. My sighted husband found chat
transcripts, but we can't seem to get it to read unless we read the
whole window. Also, it reads time stamps. is there a way to switch
this off?
