You mean your wireless at your house versus their wireless at their house, right?
My first thought is, is your wireless encrypted? And is theirs? Because if it isn't, other people can use your wireless connection if they're close enough to your house. And if that is happening, it'll slow you down because you're sharing your bandwith with other people. Just wanted to get that out of the way first! If you say yes, you're both encryped already, then I'm not sure why one is faster than the other. Maybe their internet speed from their provider is faster.
