Hello,
I'm not using .mac. I was just emailing directly to his email address. Other than this Encrypted file, I have emailed a number of files much larger than 10MB without any problems. Also let me clarify something. The file attachment is a .DMG file that was Encrypted with 256 bit encryption. Inside this file are several documents. The smallest Encrypted Image that OS 10 will let you create is 10MB. I attempted to make the package a smaller file and the OS wouldn't let me do that.

Are you using a Dot Mac account? I'm asking because the service is flaky right now and also because your ISP may not likely allow a 10 MB file through the pipes. Dot Mac should have sent it with no problem if that's what you are using. Another thought with Apple mail and large files being sent is it waits a couple of minutes as that file is being transfered.

Hello,
While this doesn't really concern VO, it does concern Apple Mail.
Just a while ago, I attempted to email an encrypted file to a friend. After I attached the file and unchecked Windows friendly file attachments and pressed send, nothing at all happened. In other words, the mail program just hung. The size of the Encrypted file was 10MB.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this situation?
For example, does Apple deliberately not allow the emailing of Encrypted files?Dan
