Most of what you need can be found at:
http://www.apple.com/store.

there are three stationary/desktop macs and two and a half laptops. The Mac
mini is small but needs power has no battery and is probably the least
capable although it is no slouch. The IMac can be quite powerful and use
lots of ram and a capacious hd so it would be well suited for most power
apps. The mac pro is the one for serious admin/development and other server
or high end activities. Too much computer for me.

The macbook air is nice but doesn't have a lot of connectivity and can have
heat issues. I don't think it can be a power solution.

The Macbook and Macbook pro are excellent and powerfully configureable. The
Macbook comes in only one chassie size but unless you want larger than a 13
inch screen, that shouldn't matter so you will want to look over specks and
costs to determine what best fits your needs.

Subject: Stationary or Macbook? - that is the question

Hi list.
I was determined that when i got my own mac, it'd be a stationary one,
preferably an Imac. Now however i'm not so sure. Is it true that the
macbooks are a bit less powerfull than the stationary ones? How about
connections, storage space and so on? If i wanted to make music and
podcasts, would a Macbook suffice for that? How about storage space? I
plan to store my albums and maybe my MDs as well, about 300 cds and
possibly as many Mds. I could of course buy a separate hard drive, so
the storage may not be a problem, but otherwise, what do you advise?
Sorry if these are stupid questions.
