I already use the BCC field, Hanet. :) the trouble is that as things stand, I have to hunt through old emails and copy and paste the addresses into the new email, which is just about as time-consuming. I finally got that email sent out tonight, but I am hoping by next wendesday to have it all working nicely so I can just send it all out at once.

the selecting thing with disabling cursor tracking just is *not* working *sigh* and I am frustrated, because it looks like it *ought* to work ...

Can I add that using the Bcc: field hides your recipients email addresses from one another. So it appears that each person is the only one getting that email from you. Makes it more personable. And protects the privacy of everyone on your email list.

I want to add that, on my email account here, I have a limit of 50 email addresses that I can send to in one mailing. So I set up a second group folder. Just FYI if you ever find you have the need to do that.

I run a mailing list for Felix's music gigs. I've got around 70 people now on the email list. So that's where I get this knowlege from! I need to protect all Felix's "fans" privacy, you know, from getting placed on other people's email lists uninvited.

It's happened to me before. Now I raise hell if I see something sent to me along will a whole slew of other email addresses on it! Especially those forwards. Those are the worst. Because your email address will get forwarded all over the planet each new time that item gets forwarded.

Yikes!

Anyway, my 10 cents worth. Inflation, you know.

Hi Jane,

You asked: I have a group of six people I need to email--we are al
on the same committee. How do I set up a list where all I do is
type in the name and all the emails are sent out to those people?

TK: Try the following:

• Go into Address Book app.
• Select the 6 Contacts you wish in the specific group. You may
need to use the non-contiguous selecting method if the contacts are
not one after another.
• Once they are selected, go under the File menu and choose "New
Group from Selection".
• Type in a name for the group.

Now when you are in Mail, you simply type the first few letters of
the name of the group and it will find it for you. Since it is a
group, it will send the message to all members of that group.

HTH.
