It's kind a weird. Nothing'll play this file except winAmp. I tried another one though and it worked fine.

MIDI files play just fine for me with QuickTime player. Actually, after downloading one it opens by default in QuickTime Player with no conversion and such. Are you sure your MIDI file is good?
