Hi all. The itunes store creation of ring tones is only for the iphone. I use fission to make little snippets and then send them to my phone. It's not too hard.

Ring tones. A band member in one of the bands Felix plays in took a recording of one of their own songs and made it his ringtone. Not using a Mac though. But Felix doesn't think it should be that hard to do with a Mac. Neither one of us has a cell phone right now to experiment on though, with our Macs.

I'm not sure but I think these ring tones only work on the iPhone.

I would pay if the feature was accessible because I don't know how

you have to adjust sliders to trim the length of the song, and i'm
guessing this feature is not accessible yet. plus who would want to
pay $.99 for a song, then another $.99 for a 15-25 second ringtone?
Not me;) i would just use an audio editor and edit the files;)

I'm wondering the same thing. I have songs from the Itunes store,
but haven't figured out the ring tones feature yet.

You know I was sitting here and mucking about with iTunes and
got curious about the ring tones feature. I had forgotten you
could only do this with songs purchased from the iTunes store
and I have no doubt for a cost of course. So, is it possible to
just make your own ring tones? I imagine there is some things
you have to do to get the mp3 file to a particular size and the
like. I was wondering if a program such as Fusion would help in
this process.
Any thoughts/comments appreciated.
