Hi there Steve,
What mac do you have? I've managed to install ubuntu successfully on my mac
book pro with no problems running Orca.

Subject: Re: linux on my mac
I recently tried installing Ubuntu via Fusion and couldn't get Orca to
talk. I could hear the nice Ubuntu welcome sound and other sounds, but
Orca only seemed to cause my sound card to emit this very loud, painful
screeching sound. I'm not sure if the problem has to do with the synth
contained on the Ubuntu CD, or something I might have misconfigured
though. I hope someone might have figured out how to get this working.

three different installs?
