there are a couple of things. vo works fine on my powerbook g4. 1> the most obvious thing might be to turn up the vo volume. if that doesn't work, you might need to unmute the speech incase it got muted by accident. Also, there is some lag between when vo is switched on and when it comes up talking. Lastly, alex is a drain and depending on how fast and how much ram you have, you may get better results from one of the other voices.
