Hi,
I have successfully installed Open Office on my own and my
girlfriend's Macbooks. It is a pretty straight forward installer, just
click continue at the first prompt. At the lisence, click continue, do
not use the I aggree button, and a dialoge will appear asking you to
aggree or disagree. I find this easier. Click "Agree" and then it will
take you to the page where it says "choose install location". Use
Macintosh HD", unless you want to install to another disk or
partition, and then click the Macintosh HD" button, and proceed to
click "Continue". Then, click "Install" to begin installing. I can't
remember if it asks you to register then, but click "Register Later",
unless you want to fill out Open Office's Registration. It may ask you
to register upon first start up, I don't remember off the top of my
head. When the installer completes, you will hear a sound. tab around
and hit "Close". Then go to "Spotlight", (CMD + "Space") and type
"Openoffice". You can now enjoy the free Suite of office Applications.
Hope this helps,
E-mail me if you need further assistance and I will look it up,
Thanks for listening,

Hello,
I am writing to request assistance from any of you who have
successfully installed Open Office on an Intel Imac. I've downloaded
and decompressed the software, but I do not see a file containing
the installation instructions. So, any instructions from experienced
Open Office Users would be greatly appreciated.
