Ya know, keith? Now maybe this is better in Leopard? But I know in Tiger, at least, I have really not been able to find a very efficient way to do this. I agree, it's really really annoying. One thing that you can! do, is go in the fview menu, then to show offline contacts, and hit return on that to uncheck it in the menu. But then, keep in mind, that won't tell you if they're away, do not disturb, online, etc. You'll only, still, no they're signed in, but that'll be it. Yeah, I agree, man, I wish there was a better way, and perhaps there is, and I am not aware of it, however, it's sort of a halfway fix. I know it's not what you wanna do, neither is it for me, but at least this way, it kind a, sort a, works.

Be good.

Chris.

OK sorry thought it was all sorted but just one more thing, I hope, how do you display a contact's status i.e. whether they are on line or away etc?

thanks

Keith
