I presume that this is only a Tiger thing, but I dono if it's my system being stupid, or if this was a common thing with Tiger. Basicly, I am noticing something. It's not really a problem, as much as it's just extremely irritating. Basicly, whether you turn off the bookmark and toolbar bars or not, and whether you're using Safari 2.X, or 3.X, this issue still applies to me, regardless. Even installing Web kit, unless I did it wrong, which is highly possible, even that doesn't seem to be fixing it. OK, enough already, so what is the issue. OK, simply this:

When I bring up a web site, let's just for sake of example, take acbradio.org

Now, it's obviously not just this site, it's any site really. I'm only using this as an example, as it's the first site right now, that comes to mind. Anyway, I have voiceover set to automatically interact with the html content, although even if I tell it not to do that, it doesn't matter. This still occurs. If I then start using vo down arrow, and going down the page, I notice that after the search field on this particular site, I get a ding. If I then vo up arrow, it then takes me to the very bottom of the page, then vo down again wraps me around back to the toppa the page and then vo down again keeps going until I reach that search box, then it does it all over again. The point is, I cannot read the whole content of the page. The only way that I have found to work around this is to disable cursor tracking with vo+shift+F3. Then if I do that, it works like a charm. I then can vo down the page with absolutely no problem at all. If I need to type something in a text field, I can do my vo+command+F5 to root the mouse pointer, then do a vo+shift+space to click, then type what I need. The only issue though with doing that, is I find that a lot of times, after I type, if I then vo down to get outta that text field, it jumps me back to the toppa the web page. Again, this is probably just a Tiger thing, The one time I played a bit with a Leopard machine, I really didn't notice this nearly as much. Granted, I can use the item chooser menu, and get back to where I was on the page, fairly easily, but it's still really aggervating. I don't mind turning off cursor tracking, but, then the thing is remembering in other windows to turn it back on. I always forget, and sometimes, because of that, I run into disaster. I am just wonderring if there are still any Tiger users on here, or if anyone's gotta Tiger Machine laying around that they could test this for me on. If not, do any of yall recall if this was a problem in Tiger that was known about? Or again, is this just my system being incredibly weird. I have reinstalled the OS several times and still had this problem every time. No, I didn't reinstall for that reason. That was done for something totally unrelated. Either way, it really didn't fix things. I've heard that Safari didn't work the best in Tiger, but, Truthfully? I've not really had any problem with it aside this. And the problems, I heard were mainly with the Safari 3 beta. Granted, yes, that is what I'm now using, but, again, even in Safari 2, I had this problem, so downgrading isn't gonna fix things. Trust me, I already tried. What I wonder, is if there are any other browsers aside from Safari that I may could try. I know there's Firefox, but I hear it's not really that great quite yet with Voiceover, so I think until they get all the accessibility quirks worked out, I'm probably gonna stay clear of Firefox. I'd heard that there was another browser that was pretty good for the most part, I just don't recall it's name.

Anyway, I'd really be curious to hear what all yall have to say regarding all this.

Thanks, and please have a good day.

Chris.
