Hi William.
You asked:
on windows , how can I delete files ;
In Fusion, you have to press fn backspace to delete files. Since there
is no delete key on the Mac-keyboard, Fusion use fn backspace as the
delete key.
how can I start the task-manager
You can start the task manager in 3 ways:
1: by pressing control alt (which is the option key on the Mac
keyboard) and fn backspace for delete
2: by pressing control shift escape
3: by open run with the windows key r and type taskmgr and press enter.
You said you have trouble with your f10, f11 and f12 keys? I have
heard about many people who have trouble with these keys, but they
works fine on my machine. I don't know which settings I have changed.
To solve the insert key issue, I use a program called Sharp keys to
remap a key to the insert key. I have mapped the right alt key.
Please let me know if you got more questions.
Best regards
Søren Jensen

Hello Chris,
I think the copy works.
I have used the open-function in vmware and I have chozen the
duplicated folder to start and it works.
To be shore which image I was running, I renamed the my computer on
the desktop so both works well.
But I have still 2 other questions:
- on windows , how can I delete files ;
- how can I start the task-manager
- how can I activate the context-menu.
I think this doesn't work because thereis no delete-key o n a mac-
keyboard, only backspace?
Alse , the context-menu with shift+f10 doesn't work and I don't
understand why.
The keyboard settings of my mac are set that the functionkeys of my
macbook, are direct axccessible without fn-key.
thanx alot for you answer,

That doesn't sound right. How did you duplicate it? You should be
able to just select the folder with your virtual machine in it and
do an Apple-D to duplicate it. Make sure your vmware isn't running
so it doesn't lock some files.

Hello all,
I have made a copy of my virtual machine (windows xp pro) with
vmware.
If I look to the orriginal and the copy, the size and amount of
files is not exactly the same:
original:
has a size of 5.34 GB 5.744.797.696
bytes
16 directorys and 34 files
copy:
3.99 GB or 4.294.336.512
bytes
37 files and 16 directorys
So, this is not totally the same.
Can I start my virtual machine for one time with the copy of my
image (from a usb-drive) or the harddisk of my mac?
Thanx alot for the answers,
best regards,
William
