Ok, so I got my new headset (the FREETALK(R) Stereo Headset (Buddy Pack)) and they say it's Mac compatible but it's the same story as the old one. I plugged the one plug into the headphone jack (the sound is wonderful) and the other one into the microphone jack. I went into the system preferences and set the device to line in. I checked the volume and it's fine. I tried recording with TapeDeck but it didn't recognise the microphone. So I went on skype and still no luck. I figured this would be the easier way, since there's no software to install as there would be with a usb device. So what am I doing wrong? How can I get it to recognise this microphone? I also got the Plantronics 345 model instead of the 625 because I accidentally ordered the wrong one and am probably gonna sell it since it's not Mac compatible and I hear Skype customer service is horrible.
