As for iTunes 8, it is currently available at the official download
page for apple iTunes.
I presume, that the software update utility will get iTunes 8 later on
this evening, or by tomorrow.
So, if you wish to wait until then, go ahead. If not, go to apple's
official page, and you can find it there.
