Hello Jessi,

Have you tried using the shift key with arrow keys to select text? This is the way I normally do it. • Shift-Command-Right Arrow will highlight from current position to the end of the line; • Shift-Command-Left Arrow will highlight from current position to the beginning of the line;
• Shift-Option-Right Arrow highlights one word forward;
• Shift-Option-Left Arrow highlights one word backward;
• Shift-Right Arrow highlights next character;
• Shift-Left Arrow highlights previous character.
• Shift-Command-Down Arrow highlights from current position to the end of the document; • Shift-Command-Up Arrow highlights from current position to the beginning of the document;
•Shift-Down Arrow highlights one line down;
• Shift-Up Arrow highlights one line up;

Cheers,

Anne

hey guys
how come when I use the normal selecting commands in open office, it doesn't work? I wanna select from part of a line to the end of a document, and when I press vo return to stop selecting, it just says selecting again like I hadn't turned selecting on but I did, lol. it's weird and is making me unintentionally procrastinate my homework, lol.
