Hello; Here is what i did. First, go into your clock settings in
system preferences and set it to put your clock on the menu bar. Once
you do that, then you can click vo+m twice; and you can then arrow
over to the left to hear the time. You then press the escape key, and
it takes you right back to where you were. I use this a lot because
it lets me get at my battery info as well. And there is a field in
there to check that will show am and pm on the menu bar. And you will
also see a setting that has your computer speak an the time on the
hour, half hour, or quarter hour. Would be nice if there was a ins
f12 or something like in jaws, but I don't know of one either. Hope
