I actually have used this with VO, but quite some time ago. If I
remember rightly it did work, although *not* in read only mode. In
other words, you had to be in edit mode to read your entries in the
outliner, although I din't remember that being a problem.
The rest as far as data entry was mostly keyboard based anyway, so I
don't think I had any trouble with that. Let me know if this helps.
