Hey David, The choice between Pro Tools and Logic is tricky now more than ever, very much even footing between those two. In our case though, the choice will be neither for now, since neither is currently accessible enough to use well with VO. Logic seemed to be taking small and probably accidental steps towards becoming more accessible, so the newest version might've moved more in the right direction. Right now I own a mac, and I'm thoroughly hacked off in having to report that I use it for music stuff, in Windows... ugh! If you really want to stick totally to Mac OS, there's a series I believe on www.lioncourt.com about using Garage Band that might be of interest. I haven't checked it out myself because Garage Band doesn't have a lot of the functionality I need, it's aimed at a different market.
So to sum up, as far as I'm aware, it's a totally lousy time for music access in Mac OS at the moment. If someone posts back to this with a solution, I'll be so happy to be proved wrong. Sorry if this email seems a tad bitter - I've just spent a whole day relying on sighted assistance to blunder my way through editing a load of drum takes.
