It should also be noted that this only works for tabs, not code
indented with spaces as many windows programming editors seem to
prefer. This is why an editor that has the ability to automatically
convert spaces to tabs and back again is useful.

Smultron works for me as a text editor for python. I use tabs as
indents.
And VoiceOver notifies indentation level or I have to read
