Hi, Marty,

Treat the modifier keys of control, apple, and option just as you'd
treat a shift key on the typewriter.  You may hold down the modifiers
indefinitely, but as soon as you hit the printable character, you
need only press it for an instant.  If you keep it down, it will
auto-repeat.  So, just like you don't want 20 capital U's, you don't
want 20 open link chooser menus.  Press it for an instant.  It may
take a second to process the request and it may not work if the page
is still loading, but one quick press of the 'U' key will do.
