syncing new laptop to other mac

Hello all,

I purchased a new laptop last night, I was wondering what was the best  
way to copy all my music and my wifes photos to it. I was also  
wondering if I can setup the notebook to auto sync to the main  
computer to check for new music everyonce and a while. I dont want to  
have to hook it up with a wire, can I do this wirelessly. I have music  
on my computer I got from both cd and I tunes so I want to be able to  
transfer my entire library to the new laptop.
