Hi Dan,

You asked: when I hit vo, shift and M the computer just dings. nothing else

TK: You are using the VO keys, ctrl-option when I say VO? That is a basic VO function to press VO-shift-m to bring up the Contextual menu. I'm not sure why that wouldn't be working for you. I guess you could also try routing the mouse to the VO cursor position by pressing ctrl-option-cmd-f5 (add the fn key on a laptop), then holding down the ctrl key while pressing the physical mouse button (or trackpad button on a laptop). This also will bring up the Contextual menu.

Hi Dan,

You asked: What would be the best way to get lots and lots of pictures from my i mac to my new lap top. They wont all fit on to one cd and I dont know where to find the file where all the photos are stored to divide them to split them onto several cd's. the only thing I have found is a file to copy an entire i photo library and that will not fit onto one cd...

TK: If you had a DVD, you could copy them onto it instead of a CD. The capacity of the DVD is huge in comparison. If that's not an option, you can go into your home directory, expand the iPhoto Library and then divide it up onto CDs that way. To do this process, follow these instructions:

• Go to the Finder.
• Press cmd-shift-h to open your Home directory.
• Navigate to the Pictures folder and open it.
• Locate the item named iPhoto Library.
• Press VO-shift-m to bring up its Contextual menu.
• Choose "Show Package Contents".

This will expand the iPhoto Library so that you'll be able to see the folders within that contain the jpeg images. You can then fill up your CDs and burn them.
