Hi,
Dan,

You can first interact with the IPhoto Library and then "VO" + "SHFT" + "M".

Thanks for listening,
Alex,

Hi Dan,

You asked: What would be the best way to get lots and lots of pictures from my i mac to my new lap top. They wont all fit on to one cd and I dont know where to find the file where all the photos are stored to divide them to split them onto several cd's. the only thing I have found is a file to copy an entire i photo library and that will not fit onto one cd...

TK: If you had a DVD, you could copy them onto it instead of a CD. The capacity of the DVD is huge in comparison. If that's not an option, you can go into your home directory, expand the iPhoto Library and then divide it up onto CDs that way. To do this process, follow these instructions:

• Go to the Finder.
• Press cmd-shift-h to open your Home directory.
• Navigate to the Pictures folder and open it.
• Locate the item named iPhoto Library.
• Press VO-shift-m to bring up its Contextual menu.
• Choose "Show Package Contents".

This will expand the iPhoto Library so that you'll be able to see the folders within that contain the jpeg images. You can then fill up your CDs and burn them.

Later...
