If nothing else, keep a very soft lint-free cloth and a bottle of
denatured alcohol around. In a case where the disc is truly filthy or
even has a minor light scratch, you can actually take a small amount
of toothpaste and a soft cloth or similar item and do the following.
Apply a slight amount of toothpaste to the disc, polish the disc and
wash with plain water, and finally pat dry. Yep, it works, I tried
this on an old disc and it did help. Yes, I know it sounds completely
insane, but try at your own risk, I can't say if it'll work for you,
but did for me.
