Yes, well put, in all fairness. I have to chuckle because I've been on
several Windows-centric lists and felt like the odd man out many times. Yes,
indeed, we have a lot of fans on the list and sometimes, well, it can get
close to Windows bashing. I'm sure nobody will jump on that wagon because it
would be off-topic, hint hint. Anyway, I agree -- it is what it is. After
using outSPOKEN for years, I had to get used to the way Windows screen
readers reported insertion points and now I'm back to the way VoiceOver does
it. Between the two, frankly, I do prefer the way VoiceOver reports position
but it's neither better or worse, just different, in my opinion.

But please be careful when you make statements like "this is the way it
should be". It was very constructive to hear explanations on how cursor
works on the Mac and let's leave it at that. I'd simply say, this is the
way it is...
