In the case of lossless, we should have a choice. I don't have the diskspace I'd need to store every album I have in lossless, as nice as that would be. And there's the matter of which lossless codec to use, but they could give us a choice in that as well.

Heck, with so many of us having broadband access, why not a lossless format? Everybody wants instant access and portability, but what about sound quality?
