No, to the best of my knowledge and I may be recalling incorrectly, the 2.53 and 2.8Ghz processors both have 6Mb L2 cache. If this were the only real difference, the speed difference may not be as significant. Of course I guess it comes down to how fast is fast. Is 2.4 or 2.53Ghz sufficient for most applications? Probably so, but it is easy to get wrapped around the axle over the technical specs. :)

The problem these days is that a processer shouldn't / can't be
measured purely on clock speed. Your by no means the only person that
does this what so ever - the amount of times i've built systems for
people who think that a sempron 3000+ (1.8ghz) will run faster than a
single core intel running at 1.6 for example is amazing.

There are probably differences in the processer such as the amount of
cache that it has.

Anne, the latest MBs / MBPs have the enter key combined with the
return key. Enter is actually written in a larger font on the key
than return at this point.

So basically, it's now an enter key. <smile>

Hmm, sorry to see them bring that useless enter key back, or maybe
it never went away on the Pro? My iBook had that, but the Macbook I
have now (previous generation) has command and option keys on both
the left and right.
A.R. That's strange. My MacBook, and every laptop I've had, has had
Command and Enter at the righthand end of the Space Bar. The Enter
key is not the same as the Return key, either. I've never found a
use for it myself, but apparently there are applications where it's
used.

Cheers,

Anne
