You don't need sighted assistance to set the Ipods language to
english. When you turn on the device after a reset, it comes up with
the language selection menu. The click wheal has also changed back to
it's default setting, so you can hear the clicking sound through the
Ipods internal speaker. When the language chooser menu comes up, you
just have to select the first menu item which is english, and press
the center button to confirm.

Hi, sounds like your language on the iPod isn't set to English.
You'll more than likely need sighted assistance with this.

I got an Ipod 4g for my birthday. I can't seem to make it talk,
or sync, or basically anything. At one point it said that it was
displaying in Japanese, but then I reset it and now nothing. I
checked the little box under devices and summary to activate
speech but still no go and I don't think there is music on there
even though I hit the sync button. I know this has been probably
been talked to death on the list, but if anyone would either be

info is in my signature.
Thanks so much!
