The open source edition of Virtualbox does not have USB, for whatever
reason the USB code is still closed. However, the closed source
edition is still free for personal use, and you can use USB on that. I
believe the USB code is still closed because SUN doesn't have full
rights to that section of the Virtualbox codebase as of yet.
