Folks,
I recently completed a class that requires writing a number of
documents in the APA format. Now I will have a number of courses
requiring this for years to come. THis is my punishment for waiting to
finish my degree twenty years late. Be that as it may, I am getting my
ass kicked and loosing points because the crap called Microsnot Word
is very tricky to work with in setting up an APA formated paper. I'm
mostly getting beak up over the reference page. So, I'd like to use
Open Office or something that will get the damned paper in order so I
won't loose points in the future. I can ask my co-worker to format the
document, but i really shouldn't have to do this. I tried taking an
empty document she used to just put the text in and my understanding
was the formatting would hold. That apparently is not exactly true and
I tried like hell to follow the APA format standards and take care to
indent etc. However, I obviously did not get it right and so I've lost
a few points. Ok, so as of week 4 it looks like I'm running a 97.21%
out of a possible 100 and I am still waiting for the final week's
grade, but loosing those points over formatting really upsets me to no
end. Those should be giveme points.
So, any ideas are really welcome.
tnx
Scott Howell
