downloading are two different operations though related. When you
have a file on your computer you want in your applications folder,
you highlight the file and hit command-c to copy it. Then you
open your applications folder and hit command-v to drag it. Once
that's done, you should find the file in your applications folder
and your applications folder should have had its file count grow
by one.
