new aluminum bluetooth keyboard and Mini G4

Folks, I have been trying to get one of the new aluminum bluetooth  
keyboards to work with a Mac Mini G4, but no luck. I was able to
get it working with a new iMac, but not the G4.  So, does anyone know  
if it will work? If so, any ideas?
It seems it can be seen if you browse for it, but not if you add it as  
a keyboard. Damn strange problem for sure.
