Hi There,
Thanks for the websites, think I might have used the VoiceOver one but
not the other two and think they should be useful.
Many thanks again and best wishes,
take care,
Vicki.

I am unsure how many know of these three Apple web sites:
VoiceOver downloads:
http://www.apple.com/accessibility/voiceover/downloads.html
Has the PDF and audio manual for VoiceOver along with Keyboard charts
Mac 101:
http://www.apple.com/support/mac101/
Has all the info on using a Mac
Switch 101:
http://www.apple.com/support/switch101/
Has useful info on switching to the Mac
Another useful VoiceOver command is: control option k. That is
keyboard help, it will speak the key you depress, what is very cool
is that it recognizes voiceover commands and will tell you what the
command is. Use escape key to leave VoiceOver Keyboard Help.

I still have alot to learn of course. But I just answered a few
questions I had just by exploring things. I hope all is well with
you. Thank you all of those of you who encouraged me. It helped
tons. I am actually amazed at how much I have learned in less than
24 hours.
Take care all. I am reading most topics on the list. One can never
know for sure what one will learn .

Okay all.
Figured out how to use skype, mail, safari, itunes basically
anyway. And how to browse around the mac itself pretty easily. I
even changed the default voice.
I guess pretty good work for 8 hours LOL.
Still have a lot to learn. And Mike no I won't rush it LOL. I
find rushing only makes things hugely worse than they need to be.
I rush too often. I can read and send email. Browse the web. Use
skype. For now that is all I need to know. The rest can be built
on that as time goes on.
Also was putting this little beast to my tests to make sure its
hardware was fine. And all seems to be just fine.
Even got my wireless connection set up. And for me who knows
nothing about wireless networkjing and not much more about wired
networking that is a huge accomplishment. Although it was easy
to set up. I can go anywhere in the house with this machine and
from what I can tell it will work from anywhere in my trailer
here.
I mean have access to the internet sorry.
Have a great day all.
Jessica
