OK, let me get this straight. If you plug your everest into your mac,
then mac OS freezes? Yet you tested it on your pc and it works just
fine, and your print printer works fine on your mac?
I had this happen to me with a braille sense plus. A number of tweaks
and several system updates later the freezing problem went away, but I
can't say which tweak fixed the freezing, and I never did get full
functionality.
Sorry I couldn't be more immediate help, but keep sending all the info
you can and I'll read until something strikes me.

the vmware window that says connaisseurect index everest and press
it? Sometimes my hardware gets passed straight through to the vm,
and other times I have to kick start it that way.

We can't find any logfile in windows about that and also, my
lexmark printer works fine under mware.
