Thanks for your reply. I figured iWorks would probably be more stable, just 
from my past experiences with apple products.

Both OO and iWork have some accessibility quirks, but overall I prefer  
iWork. It's far more stable, and quite a bit faster, and with less  
quirks than Openoffice at least for me.
The best thing you can do is try them both and see which meets your
