Good afternoon Tim,

Thanks for the help.

I am hoping to have Remote Login enabled on my home network, but nowhere else.

Thanks,
Everett

Hi Everett,

You Asked: can I configure network profiles so that IP and sharing are customized to each network that I commonly join?

TK: Yes for IP and other related resources. Do the following:

• Go to System Preferences.
• Choose the Network System Preference.
• Navigate to the left of the Services Table to the Location pop-up menu.
• Activate it using VO-space and choose Edit Locations.
• A new dialog will appear and press the New button.
• Enter the name for the new Location.
• Press the Done button.
• Navigate to the Advanced button in the main window of the Network Preference and press it.
• Modify any settings you need in this pane and then press OK.
• Navigate to the Apply button at the bottom.
• Now you will have multiple Network profiles with specific settings necessary for each Location. You can quickly change your Location now by going under the Apple menu and choosing the Location item and then choosing your desired Location from the sub-menu. This Location item does not appear unless you have multiple Locations.

With respect to Sharing Preferences, what exactly are you hoping to do?
