This is a very "techy" solution and it's too complicated for users. If
they switch off the display and quit OOo they might recognize that it is
still in memory. Then they have to restart OOo, switch on the icon,
terminate it. No, bad idea.

If the icon gets on your nerves you should either switch it off
completely (not only the display) or get a decent desktop that hides it
for you.
