I think that a layer should be created so that people can use whatever Media Player the want whether it's Windows Media Player, iTunes, QuickTime, WinAmp, [put in your favorite FLOSS media player here], or something else. > 2. We could base it on the gecko engine as we already have a lot of the Mozilla code in OOo. > 3. Timer that would allow for appropriate changing of slides. +1 This would be VERY helpful. > 4. Could OOo possibly offer links to there somewhere on the website, or else make it a permanent CWS here or something so that people can get an official version of it from OOo? > I am not a programmer and would not know where to begin but it would > be nice if even some of the community folk would take this on as a > project. I'm currently working on a project that had some intial steam in 2003 but seems not to have done hardly anything in the area I'm working with since. I'm working on Silver Onion, a replacement of the (dead?) toolkit2 chrome layer. > Also, if given space with a director and announcement should be posted > in the forums as well so that community programmers will know that the > potential for such a project exists. > > Does anybody else have some other thoughts about this?? > > SC --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
