As the community representative in the OOo Council, I would be delighted to bring up anything that a community member wants to take up to the council. I have not been following this discussion (I get a lot of mail, I can't read it all). So I don't really know what the proposal in question is about. But if Simon feels that the council should look at it, I will bring it up in the next meeting, whatever it is. If the proposal is technical in nature (judging from the subject line, I think it might be) then perhaps the engineering comittee would be a better place. If it is, I will then bring it to them.
